Joining the crowd on shore 🏝️. Had to put it down for a little and then figured it out pretty soon after picking it up again. Hope Lee is kind to us all this weekend.

Had two little crossword buddies this afternoon. They were not at all helpful, but I’d give up all the puzzles to spend time with them. 🏖

Fun grid and rode a smooth wave to shore. Liked the creativity of this meta Mike Shenk! Portugal Super Bock will be the celebratory beverage tonight.

Ashore. Grateful for this solve. Sometimes you really start to wonder if you’re beginning to lose some hitch in your giddy up. Nope. Still OK!👍

Ashore! Which means two things...

All energy will be able to focus on Gaffney's tommorrow (or whenever it comes out). And I won't look foolish staring at two solved grids...just one.

I'm feeling lucky that my first thought turned out to be the right one and I finished the meta before the grid. Because I suspect there are an awful lot of red herring floating around this one.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Got to this one a bit late, expecting what seems to have become my usual cluelessness with respect to the meta, but surprised myself by getting it with almost no trouble. (Will wonders never cease? … 🙂)

I think that a toast of Prosecco is in order.
Wait.... You're saying you're NOT having a Smithwick's Red Ale? Even though you're on Page 1??? That would be like @Al Sisti not having a Guiness!

Oh dear. Something is akilter in the universe! Seek shelter!
