Made it ashore. Saw the mechanism very early this time. A rare feat lately. Puzzle itself was more difficult than usual.

On shore. Very late start for me and a relatively quick swim. Had a great day outside of Nashville riding the Natchez Trace parkway on our e-bikes then driving to Louisville. Arriving safely and solving this puzzle was a nice way to end a beautiful day.

For the record, I'm on shore. I got to the puzzle late, couldn't see anything, got distracted by a big rabbit hole, took the dog for a walk, inspiration struck on the walk, verified it when I got home, had to go to dinner with friends, and now finally have a chance to record my success while having an after-dinner Chartreuse.
