Aside: How's the forum topic going to go if there's a puzzle contest whose meta answer is "shore"?

Am I the only one who, upon solving these puzzles, feels a satisfaction that is completely disproportionate to the achievement?

A couple wrong leads before I found the right hole. On shore and ready for a Manhattan.

DOH!!!! A little late to the feast on shore, but the light bulb finally flickered on. And now I'm hungry!

I need a plumber! My flow is clogged. Perhaps the answer will come to me after some quality time with Isaac.

On shore. Started to take some extra steps to puzzle things out and it fell into my lap in the process.

Aside: can we confirm that people submitting through the web interface (as opposed to e-mail) have successfully won a mug? Everytime I get that "thanks for submitting!" I'm skeptical, though I understand people feel similarly about sending an e-mail and NOT receiving a confirmation.

Onshore! I like this one (puzzle and food).

Pour me another Isaac, I'm just not seeing it so far.

I remember listening on the radio to the game where Harvey Haddix pitched 12 perfect innings (1.33 perfect games) for the Pirates and lost to Burdette and the Braves. (I was young at the time, lying in my bed in the dark with Bob Prince's voice from the radio on my night stand.)

Then there was "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain..."

We spent the last two days off the grid viewing beautiful fall foliage and listening to elk bugling near Benezette PA. After returning home, we turned to the puzzle and got a really fun "AHA". Thank you Matt for this well done puzzle! Happy to be ashore.
