OK, OK I’m on shore at page 5 or 6 but that’s OK.
Had to:
Help make dinner,
Eat dinner,
Clean up after dinner,
Watch the deer and her baby sleeping in the backyard,
Watch Canadian tennis (they play the same as everyone else),
Watch Star Trek episode I have seen over 100 times and
THEN, did the puzzle. Fun one after last week, too.
Good weekend, everybody!

Would love to hear this back story

Hi all,

Hope everyone’s doing great!

If anyone has hotel recommendations or other suggestions for a visitor to Boston, I’d love to hear them. Feel free to DM me.

Thank you in advance.

As I wandered weak and weary
Thoughts of Amtrak making me teary 🚂
Wondering what my eyes so bleary
In Boston I would see…

Wandering around a stranger
Hoping not to encounter danger
Searching for a comfy manger
In Boston just for me. 🏨

Taking a train is so electric
Taking a car, it can be hectic 🚘
Walking energetic
And there’s issues with the “T”. 🚃

Now that school has finished for the day, that G & T is not far off now... :D
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

I was a bit late getting to this and a bit of research was required to finish the job, but I just struggled ashore, trailing bits of seaweed … 😳. Where the heck is the bar, anyway? … 😜

Ashore! Early morning success, in time to walk the dogs before heading out in search of the elusive redfish. Before it gets too ungodly hot …….

I hear ya! The big project I was on always had our vendor touch-base meeting at 4pm on Thursdays.

So I retired.

Oh, but my kids still want to wait until Friday evening when Seattle-son can zoom. Oh well... Still waiting for my Lyft to the dock before I can board the ship tomorrow. Don't fill up more than a dozen pages until then folks! That'll be a lot of catching up for me to do.
Ha! I may instead have to take over a future 4pm ET meeting to introduce the team to metas.

"I finished it!"

"No, no, no! You're not even close to being finished!"

"But I filled the grid..."

"Did I make any mistakes?!? I entered them all correctly..."

"It's a crossword puzzle, right?!? Didn't I solve it...?"

On shore. I decided to look at it before my 10 pm Sunday alarm and there it was.

Finally solved it late last night, after encouragement from @BarbaraK to keep trudging the path I was on. Also after a little help from the interwebs. Even then, I had to backsolve for one.

You people who thought this was easy peasy must have some working knowledge that this muggle does not have… and to you who are still struggling, this is NOT a softball for everyone. The early solvers are likely those who are more familiar with… something, I think.

Posting now in the a.m., so this mug of coffee will do me just fine! Happy to be on shore, before the week 2 Gaffney (guest) puzzle. Kind of hoping for a smoother sailing today; I’m tired.

I believe I've solved this one.

These metas sometimes have a way of making me feel dumb. Yes, I solved it but would not have without the ease of searching stuff on the internet...some to make sure of some vague knowledge (imagination?) floating in my brain and some to actual search could this be something? Was I supposed to know all that? It seems like many others did.

Having said that, did Mike and Matt switch places? This feels more like a Mike-ish meta than a Matt-ish one.

On the ship. We are attending some wedding festivities involving some travel so this may have to wait until Sunday.

I have several ideas but nothing panning out. I am stuck in one particular rabbit trail that is more like a rut.

I wish you luck! You'll have better success, I'm sure. 👍

Your team may include six sisters and a brother, or it may not. Some teams are more 'easable.'
