Wow, After not getting it last week, I stopped destroying muy liver with Isaac and am safely ashore. Now, where is that Tiki bar?

I fell off the boat and have been dragged to shore by a very helpful friend. Suffice to say, I won't be submitting or celebrating with any form of beverage. At least I'll be able to sleep tonight without constantly thinking about 3 letter words!
Check out "The MOAT Mini Pack of Marching Bands" here. US$5 gets you 7 Marching Bands which, hard enough on their own, now contain metas too. And once again there's a mega-meta! :D

Made it ashore with the Zoom crew! Fun to collaborate and would still be at the bar without the help of the crew!

Knowing that it took 13 of the greatest minds in the business a collaborative effort to work this through makes me realize I have no hope. I will, however, keep returning to it until the deadline comes.

Grid done. Working on meta. Numbers in parentheses. Going to be one of those….

Missed the Zoom Crew, having been on the road. Dr Tom's comments are worrisome to me. Still at sea but will persist off and on through the weekend to make it ashore. (I also really hate numbers in parentheses.)

Oh, it's hard but it *can* be done. A lot of persistence even when it looks like nothing will come. As for the numbers... they have the usual meaning.

But take an idea and do it. And when you say "well, that's obviously getting nowhere..." keep doing it.

It can be done.

I just cracked this one after staring at it all day and HOLY CR*P this is an all timer. Kudos Mr. Gaffney for a truly incredible construction. Might be my best chance at a mug yet, fingers crossed!

Well, I have my Hail Mary planned for Sunday evening. Suffice to say, this week’s meta is proving to be beyond my capabilities. I’ll keep trying but my time will probably better spent raking leaves.

Finally got it after trying what should have been, in retrospect, one of the first things that came to mind. Oddly enough, I had written the answer down five pages earlier in my notebook. Sick construction.

Me, too....on shore thanks to the Zoom group. Some of us (not me) contributed to the solve much more than others of us (including me). It's a pleasure to see how great puzzle-solving minds work.
