Really? Page 4? Given our late start, I thought it would be a lot later in the list!

Anyhow, ashore! (They're a lot of fun when you get them!)

On the beach. Looking forward to my regular Friday evening G & T later today!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Temporarily (I hope) sitting at the bar, chatting with Isaac. Trying not to repeat my stories from a couple of weeks ago, but I'm sure he'll still listen politely even if I do.

My last day of covid isolation. Brain a bit foggy on the grid, but clear path to solve the meta before the fill. Ashore and back to work (I hope) tomorrow!

Ohhhh! Duh. Yeah, finally got it. I’d call this one more like a mid- to upper-mid level, not easy. There just are so many other possibilities suggested b the title, you can be sniffing down the wrong holes a long time.
On shore, and helped myself to an Old Fashioned.

So many rabbit holes. But then suddenly there was a rabbit! (I'm on the beach.)

It's an error on the part of the releasing procedure. They've really been off their game in making this error lately. More often than not the make this error these days (although they usually catch it withing several hours.
So I just plain couldn't get my meta based on "Up the Down Staircase" to work.

My challenge it to constructors is to make a meta where the meta, theme or metanism is "Up the Down Staircase".

Whoa! What a strange metanism!

What a click when it drops!

It's a nothing nothing nothing there until you think, could it?

The good news for those still ashore is you know it has to be something... but it just plain isn't... until you realize ... well, it could be.

So a rum and coke and put the ice cubes on the side. I want to drop them in myself and hear the satisfying *clink!* when the drop. Again, and again. *clink*, *clink*, *clink*

I am ashore and loved the meta, but holy smokes was that grid tough. Two naticks for me that required multiple consultations with Google: 34A x 10D & 63A x 52D.

On the beach. A very fine grid. Classic metanism. Nice Thursday evening entertainment.
