Due to a number of hours of snow-shoveling and a very necessary nap, I was a bit late down-loading the puzzle, but it proved to be an easy solve and I lucked into a quick take on the meta. So, I just dog-paddled ashore, I’ve dried myself off, I’m looking for the cabana boy, and I think I could use another nap in the shade of that palm tree over there …

Anagrams. Ugh! Not my thing.
But I made it to shore anyway. Amazing how obvious it is once you see it. And how many wrong ways there are to approach it before then.

If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.
(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

On shore. Late to the party, but solved in pretty good time after a few cocktails. Sorry, Isaac, I wasn't at your bar tonight!
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

That's what I get for letting dinner get in the way - page 4! This one came right to me, probably 25 minutes start to fill to solve. So, if anyone is struggling take heart from that. I appear to be one of the canaries in the mine, if I can do it, you can do it.

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

No one’s as hard on himself as you are, so you’ve trained us to think of you as a nudge-needer. I suspect the truth is you’re as sharp as any of us! (Apologies if I hurt your feelings in the Zoom Room Dr. Tom!)DrTom wrote: Thu Mar 17, 2022 9:20 pm That's what I get for letting dinner get in the way - page 4! Beer me!

On the shore. Thanks to Akron for playing a late tourney game today and allowing me to dive a little longer into the puzzle. Very fun with a little nuance that lead straight to the meta. A nice Edmund Fitzgerald to celebrate.

Firstly: ashore.
But wow wow wow is this an impressive and clever construction, one that we both really enjoyed. Kudos to my bride for helping me see past my overthinking.
Have a very enjoyable (and safe) weekend all.
I'll have a Jameson neat in honor of today'.

Deep in the bowels of the ship, looking for that lost crate of ... ahhh, there it is.
Isaac, something vintage, I think I'm going to be here for at least this weekend.

I have something I like so I'll go with it and say I'm Ashore.
I really need to leave Isaac's ---NOT the company, you understand. Well, except maybe for one --
Things are getting a bit maudlin; I think someone's about to start singing -- "Oh, Danny Boy ..."
(And if my answer's wrong, I'll be crying too.)

Man, grid solved, thought I figured one thing out but it may be a broken paddle. Can I trouble anyone for a push in the right direction?

Ashore. Did the first step and then watched lots of basketball first.
