I'm on shore. I had an early idea what the mechanism might be, but I savored the complete grid solve before going back to see that I was right. And apparently I rated the puzzle, but it was just an accidental touch, so I don't even know what I gave it.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to donate to support this site as it helps alleviate the guilt I occasionally feel for enjoying it so much while Brian does all the work

We've been on the forum from the beginning - reading, laughing (a lot), solving/submitting/never-winning, and occasionally posting. But we never reported in to become "official" muggles.
So here we go: mkmf is ashore. We're happy to have donated, and happy to publicly thank BrianMac and Bob Cruise Director for making this such a happy place.

We're also hoping that in this week's drawing, we'll experience unlurk-luckiness, a cousin of post-enlightenment.

Thanks to Brian for keeping this site up! Grid done and donation made. Solving [edited] the meta would be a cherry on top but not necessary. Thank goodness we have a couple of days still.

Ashore. Nice to have one I can solve after missing last week’s.
Edit: more exciting than solving this week was being able to donate. I was afraid I would miss the initial rush of donations. Thanks Brian!

Got a super late start but I can't even get through the grid - I think that might be a first for me for WSJCC. I might pick it up later this weekend but its never a great start when I can't finish the grid.

After being humbled last week, I'm rating this a KAS-3. So pleased to be on the beach!

Hanging out with Isaac on the ship.
I MUSt say that I'm worried that this one might be the end of a long run. I got my second COvid shot last evening and my thinking is none too savVY at the moment. I'm hoping that I have the DUh moment soon so that I can head to shore and kiCK back--with a pair of binoculars. Hey...it is spring migration now!
And thanks again to Brian and Bob and Joe--and to all who are a part of this site. Donation is made!

On shore! Fun puzzle, and fun to collaborate with my wife on this, after having ‘23-character strings’ going through our heads last weekend (as well as adding 2, 6, 8, and 10 digits together, but not 23 numbers - lol).
Good health and good cheer - happy solving,
