MEOW #207 Blindly Following

A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

I found all eight but had no clue what to do with them, because I wasn't looking at the clues. I was looking for alternate answers.
Me too. :) And this concludes my trip back in time, as I think I'm now caught up on all the MOATs and MEOWs from last semester. :)
Oh, my goodness! I saw your post earlier this morning and acknowledged to myself that you were catching up.
Now, several hours later, I thought, hey, it's Wednesday, so there should be a new MEOW!

I scrambled to the MEOW forum, clicked the most recently modified thread, saw that there were already quite a few solvers, went back to page 1 and downloaded the .puz. Hmm... it's named with a (1) indicating I already have that file. Looking back... yep, I solved one with this title in November.

And cleverly, the graphic shows people following each other, with a caption, "He'd never do that!" "Oh, that sneaky @DrTom !" I thought. He's giving us a second puzzle with the same title, grid, and meta prompt!" That's just something he would do, I thought.

After copying in all the same entries from the previous puzzle, I realized .... Um, no. It's only Tuesday.
I don't have anything clever to say, but if I did, it would go here.

You are right, it DOES sound like me.....
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.
