Glad I looked checked in here.
Had the answer but was looking for a major world city.

I too am confused. I solved on line and there the answer is a major world city. The pdf of the crossword says ten letter word. Which is correct?

I had the same issue. I would have had answer quicker if I had been looking for a 10 letter word. Strange that the printed copy had a different wording.

The above is what the Journal website has. Can we get someone to fix it?

I was misled for a while by believing the instructions at the top of the online puzzle: "The answer to this week’s contest crossword is a major world city." The "Contest Info" and "Submit" buttons both had the correct instructions though.

LOL, another example of fake news. The prompt says city, but when you download the puzzle it just says ten letter word. Many nonexistent subscriptions will be cancelled over this.

Gonna be a crowded beach again. Already on page 3 and it's only 4:45. Count me on shore and ready for whatever Matt throws us tomorrow!

if ten letter word is the clue, I'm on the beach.

If it's 10 letters, I'm on the beach too.
