I saw nothing for a long time. And when I did see it I was looking for something else.

Ashore! Much fun. Been missing that aha moment. So very busy the last several weeks with little time for spreadsheets and brain twisting, but this one came quickly. Perhaps I can now twist my brain some other way. . .

It's been 17 years and I still can't believe the "five game sweep" happened the year that the Lakers stocked up on Glove and Mail for the sole purpose of getting those 2 guys a ring. Hmm...Glove And Mail? Perhaps they should have signed with Toronto.

I’m so lost at sea. Spent a couple of hours staring this one down yesterday afternoon. I was hoping it would jump out at me after a good night’s sleep, but it did not.

Ripped the cords from beyond the arc, i.e. on shore.
That snap is satisfying to hear, unless of course its your opponent that's doing the ripping.
The students at IU would ask me match up against Bobby Knight's players. One of them was named Larry Bird. He had this one spot on the court (about 25 to 26 feet away from the hoop) that he would always go to. He would receive a pass from a teammate and turn and face the basket with the ball over his head. Sometimes he would fake a pass to get you out of position. His release was very quick and deadly accurate. He never missed a shot from "his" spot in the two games I played against him. Sometimes the net would barely ripple, but always you would hear that sound, "thunk". It was obvious he had practiced that shot a lot. If I would try to block his shot, he had this almost magical ability to pull his shot back and leave me hanging in midair. He would then dribble to a spot a couple feet behind the foul line and take a jumper from there. He didn't miss any of those either. I kept hoping he would get his fingers tangled in that thick mop of blond hair, to no avail. It wasn't until near the the end of the second game that I even came close to blocking his shot. He was very good at controlling the defender's momentum. I sometimes wonder what ever happened to that son-of-a-bitch?

I feel like this is going to be one of those that I'll get eventually and it will happen in a flash. But for now, nada nil nothing nono nohow negative null nope nix.
