Locally pastured buffalo herd escaped and went for a jaunt this morning, as reported by all the media outlets.
3 of them galloped down the road right in front of our house

Well THAT'S a flashback....

Well, for what it's worth, it appears they were about three years too late....March 15th, 2020 was the Bisontennial - OUCH!

Because the “YO” is missing from the common/correct “YOUR” in the Title! This was a hint to the mechanism I.e. to look for missing letters in the themers….

I thought the missing letter mechanism was obvious enough and UR primed me to be ready for other common texting abbreviations or meme-speak.

The common (real-world and crosswordese) abbreviations of LOL and SNL in the first trademarked entries was the one diversion I had (especially with LOLA in the grid).

Although I always shunned that abbreviation, I'm from the generation that used "Yr"; odd that "UR" ended up as text-speak to mean the same thing.

So you're about 300 years old? There was a fellow back then who signed off "Yr. Most Humble Obt. Servt." as in this example.
