Saved this one for Sunday and had a fun swim to the beach. Ashore with a Fairhope IPA in hand in Fort Morgan.

I’m stuck at sea again this week...still just the one solve from the country singer a few weeks ago. Was hopeful again for this one with the solve rate, but no dice

FWIW I'd rather play in 114deg of Palm Springs heat than 85+deg/85 relative humidity.Bob cruise director wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 1:15 pmWhy and where did you play in 109 degree temperature. I once played in 100 and thought I was going to die. It would have to be a free round at Pebble Beach to get me to play in those conditionsJRS51 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 21, 2020 12:15 pm Well things didn’t click for me when i did the grid on Friday, and after a round of golf yesterday with the temperature 109 as we finished I wasn’t in any condition to solve anything. But I woke up in the middle of the night with realization of step 1, and a good idea what step 2 would be. It seems clear that my ideas work, though I’m a bit concerned after being in last week’s forty group. All in all I believe I’m on the beach, under an umbrella of course.
'tis... A lovely day for a Guinness!

Late to the solve. A very 60-A meta!
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

I'm still there with you, Ed. Maybe just you and me based on the many posts of a crowded beach.

Our final count is 5 on the ship and 179 on the shore.
We have another new muggle from NC - Ricky
ALECgator13 joined the group keeping Isaac company
And getting to the shore are
NuYear68
JRS51
Carla
Jeremy
amheissan
Ed S
Bill T
ricky
Abide
RDaleHall
and Jarrod
In another couple of hours we will know who is on the right shore and who is on a deserted island.

I always seem to miss the "final" count. I'm on shore. Given that many people seem to think it was an easy one, I hope it's the right one.

Keep at it, Lisa. You’ve been doing this for a long time. We’ve seen this mechanism before.

On shore and on vacation. I normally print out the pdf and carry it with me to look at if I don’t get the meta right away. This time I had a short time on a laptop to do the grid and send myself a picture of the completed grid. Fortunately I could solve the meta from that.

On shore. Finished the grid on Friday but didn’t return for the meta until this evening after the kids were in bed. Nice to arrive after a couple weeks missing out.

well, I thought I was on the E.T. shore, but turns out that I was standing in one of 7 buckets of sand on the Lido deck, looking at the sunset.
Nice construction and tip of the hat to those with G.I. answers (no GI problems, just GI answers).
Got the "Good for You", so 50% ain't bad for this weekend.

I think a case could also be made for MP
Probably not as strong as GI but certainly something not a bad answer

In my opinion M.P. is not as good as forty was last week.
I thought this was a fun meta.
I was afraid that there were other 2 letter initialisms for soldier but my first thought was G. I. so I went with it.

I also was too eager with ET, thinking the "seven"th theme answer was hidden. Didn't actually find the shore this week, I guess.
