Wow....Ashore finally (90% confidence)! I was spend WAY too long on the very last step even after decoding it. Like others have said...a phrase I had never heard of, and it's a bit funny - especially the photos that come up when you google it to see if it's a real thing. Good , fun , challenging puzzle.

Shout outs to those who encouraged me as I was kicking and screaming to shore. Now 100% confident in the answer and opening a can wine on the beach 🍷. I surely needed those nudges on my first number puzzle, and I will certainly not be indulging in the 11-letter activity as I eat my humble pie.
...Remember there are worse things than a shattered chandelier...

If you see I'm ashore and need a nudge, feel free to message me.

Ashore after a short detour that required a backsolve to get back on the path. Overall the puzzle is 11-D.

Safely ashore. Third week without a printer, but I did need an assist from a piece of scratch paper. (Does anyone still use that term?)

Gladly on shore in Waikiki looking at the cameras at the house in NH. Yuck. Stay safe and warm all.

6" here west of Philly. Son and daughter in law in Salem hunkering down.

Stay well and stay warm
WOW, hurtful, truly hurtful :D

How about just a picture of some moss - because it has grown on you? Or even a picture of a sunrise, because we (the rabid punsters) are always wishing you a good moaning.

Oh, and 6" of snow is why I no longer live in Scranton, Philly, Detroit or any of the other places north of the Mason Dixon, matter of fact even Jacksonville is cold (41) but of course everything is relative.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Dr. Tom, I believe the spellcheck on your computer is acting up.

It auto-corrected "helpful" to "hurtful".

Anyway, it gave me the opportunity to test the new 'smileys'.

Took a while but I am finally on shore!

I had a different 11-letter answer that seemed to fit the theme that I kept trying to make work. Once I set that aside, the answer worked itself out pretty quickly.

Cheers, all!

Ashore! Tricky one for me. Satisfied with the answer but maybe not one of the clues to get there. Thanks to ergcat for a nudge.

Maybe on shore. Composing a request for a nudge seems have alerted me to a mistake I made. Have to sleep on it.

Still paddling. 80% of the way to shore. Maybe I'll touch land after my morning cappuccino. 🤞
