I'm SO close. I work on these at work and this is the first time I've ever felt like I could possibly get the answer. Could I grab a nudge from anyone?

On shore! Beautiful puzzle once again Matt. Coffee and sunrise are a great combination.

I asked Google Bard what the answer to this week's Wall Street Journal meta puzzle is. Hate to spoil it for you all, but apparently it's CONTEST, which isn't a two-word answer and seems to have nothing to do with the title DOUBLE TROUBLE. I mentioned those inconsistencies to
Bard, and it says every answer in the puzzle contains the letters CONTEST.
Might not quite be sentient just yet.

Full page ad in today’s LA Times.
OMG, @hcbirker! It CANNOT be a coincidence that Kiefer's co-star is named Meta!

On shore.
Late doing the puzzle (last night just before dinner when the kids' schedules and mine finally synced for a zoom), and even later posting.
As with the many others on this crowded beach, it was for us.

Busy week with family here during their spring break; but I found a few minutes to look at the crossword.
Ashore! Nice crowd!

Ashore.
Hello, beach crowd. The last step took me an embarrassing amount of time, but I will use the excuse that I wanted to be fashionably late to the party.
