Got it!

First time I have seen this mechanism. I did not find it easy. I did find it brilliant. Pure.

Very satisfying aha moment that makes all the agony worthwhile! A metaphor for life, perhaps.

I finished it with a helpful nudge (or two) from @SReh26

It’s hard enough to solve these puzzles without putting my own hurdles in the way - I will try to remember that next time!

Ashore. Well, stopping at the Sand Bar’s penalty box for needing a nudge or two- and finally a cudgel. Quite a bit of head slapping going on with the crowd here. Think I’ll go over to the corner to join that group I see- looks like good exercise.

I was soooo blind and then, as is appropriate for Florida, Lightning Flash brought about by one of my most favorite things in the world. It still was a bit of a slog from there because I could not see the next part and then my mind said, "Tom, pay attention to what you are being told...."

Put me on the VERY crowded beach - thank you.

Oh, and to those who tried to help me thanks. Although I did not use any of your nudges (well except away from typical Tom "how did you get that from that?" holes) you did encourage me to continue and that I could ge tit - you were right.
Oh no! I was comforted by the presence of an old pro still on the boat with me. Now I am getting worried that Isaac will be shuttling drinks to the crowd on the beach and leave me alone at the bar.
You are not alone. I'm right there with you. Maybe it will come to me in the night.

Issac, kindly pour me another? Spending a couple weeks visiting family, so I can't give my full attention to the meta. Grid wasn't bad, but I'm still longing for the shore currently.

Impressive display of speed. Al Sisti is the Karsten Warholm of the meta crossword world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRDzD1UGTmk
The rest of us are barely out of the starting blocks and Al is across the finish line.
As for me, I'm at the bar with Isaac.
I thought I saw the mechanism, but it hasn't led anywhere except UNDER THE TABLE, hic.
I'm glad the MMMM was easy this time around.

Happily on shore. Came to me in the night. I was all around it then it just clicked.

Enjoy your day, Muggles.

HI everyone, I am new to this group. I've been completing the puzzles for the past few months and just found this group. I have been lost at sea all weekend. Would appreciate a nudge. Just need a starting point. Is it best to message someone directly? Thanks.
