Late start, but also it took me too long.

Finally on shore!

I completed the meta in a major world city - does that count for anything?

I came home from vacation yesterday, and solved this. Ashore again.

I was on the Caribbean and the Pacific shores!

On shore.

I am LAte to the puzzle due to an impromptu trip to the keYStone state to see a certain wee little boy (ANd his parents). We sALlied forth to see penguins and then grandma was in charge while mama and papa went to a whiskey BAr for dinner. And we hiked a TRail along the river. And, eventually, the crOSSword.

On shore! Took longer than many of you....had the grid finished quickly, then nothing. Patrick Berry puzzles typically leave me flummoxed. I was going to give it another try, then - inspiration. So nice to be unflummoxed. Pizza tonight, so a nice red wine will suit.

Ashore. Fastest solve ever, by far. I wish I could let myself think that it's because I'm getting better at it. But 54-across, no.
Very cute and fun puzzle.

Quick trip to shore today!

Enjoying the crisp mountain air and holding down the fort with the 2 youngest little ones while others are out on the mountain aka Mammoth mountain, our favorite family retreat.

Glad this week was such fun and not too hard as we have a jigsaw puzzle waiting!

Just for fun, here's a cute brain teaser for Presidents' weekend:

1 Lincoln
+ 2 Jeffersons
+ 3 Roosevelts
+ 4 Washingtons
+ 5 Kennedys
------------------
? ? ?

Cheers!

Hot cocoa please!
