Still at sea. Could use a nudge.

I’ve got an answer I’m submitting, but it’s not a lock, and certainly not the 100%-er that some are saying it is.

Good evening muggles

Our final count for the week is 15 on the ship and 169 on the shore. Good luck winning the mug and make sure you submit your candidates for the Rabbit Hole Award

Sadly still on the boat, feeling close but not sure of anything. A small nudge would be appreciated

On the beach with 20 minutes to spare! Gave my son and daughter-in-law a call after we got home from the airport. They had step one--I supplied step two--success!

My drink will have to wait for tomorrow. Although my body does think it is noon on Monday.

My first rabbit hole was using the FIRST letters of the products and using EDGE as the ale to get DEEP (as in deep end). But I wasn’t convinced and realized using the LAST letter like in earlier steps made more sense and then saw BASS. I liked this one though!

I made the mistake of trusting a nudge from Discord that there was a Japanese company implied in one of the themers. I latched onto FUJI FILM from KUNG FU FILM and never recovered, rationalizing that it perfectly fit "END PRODUCTS."

Wow. That was not going to happen for me. I don't know what a Pilot pen is, nor Bass ale.

What a massive misdirect to have "products" in the title, four X's in the grid, and no multiplication to be done.

This round to you, Mr. Shenk.

My first rabbit hole was to think of the last words and think of things that could produce pulp, film, and, uh, rise, and gun. And so... ashtrays get cruddy film? and spitballs are pulpy? Huh. ... so, I'm frustrated so I'll go to discord to commiserate with people thinking just like I am (obviously I won't stumble across a too strong nudge inadvertently....)

Might have been me saying Pilot Pens was Japanese. BTW my old race team used to race diesel jettas out of Forest Park not too too far from you.
If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.

For Rabbit Hole consideration:

The grid has four Xs. If you take each of these Xs as multiplication signs (PRODUCTs) and multiply the lengths of the two words that intersect at each X, you get the integers 20, 16, 12, and 16. The letters at those squares are S, L, E, and L, which can be reordered to spell SELL, which is what you do with PRODUCTS.

I’ve never heard of Bass Ale, but with LA_T at 1158pm, I submitted LAST and crossed my fingers!

My first rabbit hole was similar to @woozy. I added ING (7D) to the end words, and looked for the products of those activities -
PULPING - SAP - GOO
RISING -
GUNNING - ROUNDS - HEATS
FILMING - SHOW - EXPO

Same. I could not get past the "products" and the four X's. Certainly we needed to multiply something!
