Toes in the sand, drink in hand. If you can guess what the answer has to be (and what else could it be?), it's not hard to find.

Jay’s post is, without a doubt, the post of the year.Bird Lives wrote: Wed Dec 30, 2020 4:05 pm Each year at around this time, The New Yorker magazine publishes bit of verse, “Greetings, Friends,” which is basically a long exercise in dropping names – some that you know, many that you don’t but think that you would if you were at all up to speed with the news, science, the arts, etc. You can find this year’s version here. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2020 ... stmas-poem
So I have put together a bit of doggerel with names that should be more familiar, at least to visitors to xword-muggles.com.

I'm on shore. I was having trouble saying something about how obvious the answer was without getting into spoiler territory. Before I'd solved it, I had trouble coming up with something that was a 4 word phrase.Bird Lives wrote: Wed Dec 30, 2020 4:56 pm Toes in the sand, drink in hand. Well, given last week’s charitable gift, I expected another easy swim to shore this week, and so it proved! I’m enjoying the feel of warm sand under my feet! Oh, cabana boy ...

On the beach and ready for next year! I've really enjoyed being a part of this fun crew the last few months! Time for a delicious Clase Azul Reposado to warm up...

Ashore with a glass of champagne. It’s going to be a crowded beach this weekend.

But maybe not until after I've done the meta. Haven't even had a chance to look at it yet. Though from the number of folks solving in almost record time, I'm not worried!

I definitely had/have it. Just had to better understand what Matt was thinking.
