OTC with a sort of Hail Mary in that I had the answer but was not quite sure how to extract it from the grid. Wildly clever and lots of fun.

OTC. Why is it that the one gimmick I forget to check is always the one that's the key to the meta?
Fine and fun puzzle.

The nudges didn't tell me anything I hadn't already discovered on my own. Seems like I am not as knowledgeable about this theme as I might have supposed!
