My hat is off to Peter and Jay for having a grid where there was no obscure (fill in the blank, e.g. actor, director, writer, movie role, etc.)

And am I the only muggle who has and uses a 4D?

Oh, now I get it! Off the couch. Nice puzzle!
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Off the couch, awaiting confirmation. I enjoyed that immensely!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

I think I know the answer but I’m sure I don’t have the mechanism. Will keep pondering… hate to guess that way.

Confirmed OTC, after one stumble. Quite a workout -- an impressive effort by Jay and Peter.

Crosshare confirms I'm off the couch. I may sit back down a spell just the same; long week already. Thanks, Jay & Peter!

Off the couch...after getting that and seeing that... and then doing that and then... making a peanut butter and banana sandwich!
[Does Crosshare record all my crazy answers? ] ... But great job, guys, and a clever mechanism! Edited: And @Abide I loved 27D of course! :D

Holy Cow! Had to horse-trade nudges with @Abide, but I finally managed to "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" off the couch! Now I think I need to climb back on and take a nap!

Great meta @Bird Lives and @Abide! I'd gladly team up with either of you guys any day.
