Late start this weekend, but now that I’m done drowning my sorrows after another quick exit from the playoffs for my Brewers, I am happily on shore! Fun one! And as it is still quite warm here today I think a G&T is just the thing!

Ashore.

An unfortunately common Sunday solving session with the kids. (Busy weekend plans delay our normal Friday solves.) Fortunately, we all independently figured out what to do and were racing each other to come up with the answer.

I was the delay this week as wife and I took the train to NYC to see the opening of an off-Broadway musical comedy by one of my college roommates. Stayed at the famous Algonquin Hotel in hopes of picking up some wit to use on the metapuzzle. Ended up drinking a Dorothy Parker cocktail at the Blue Bar, where she used to hang out. But didn't get any wittier or smarter from it.

Cheers!

Happy Saturday morning to all!

You may have heard that there was a lip sync competition at the Unionville Community Fair last night and that your substitute cruise director and her sweetie participated, singing "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart." Well, WE WON!*
So, what's next? Air Guitar? :)

But barely and with help after returning from a 2400 mile drive in which my brain seems to have been lost somewhere along the way…
Hope I find it…

Not really seeing this one. I have something which is sort of a guess based on some reasonable pointers from the puzzle but it's still a guess. When I get to this point I know it's just not gonna pop for me so it is what it is.

Made it to shore thanks to last call. No submission.

Got a late start due to a conference this weekend, but managed to make it ashore today without too much difficulty.

BTW - Ashore. Cutty Sark - Meh. I'd put in an even measure of Doctor Pepper to get that down. SingleMalt out!

Ashore on a Sunday evening! It was a bit of a (self-induced) slog. Diverted by more than the usual incidence of RHs (Rabbit Holes, Red Herrings, whatever). Need to learn how to unlearn miscues . . .

On shore! Thought we’d never find it so set aside then decided to try again after dinner and the fog lifted! Curious to hear about the inelegance others are seeing. I’m blown away by the elegance myself!

Been a busy weekend and I didn't have much time to work on the puzzle, but ashore and answer submitted with 9 minutes to spare.
