Ashore for the first time in what seems like years.

The beach was quite crowded, so I retired to my mountaintop lair. Coffee til now, but headed to my local tavern for something a little more appropriate for a Friday.

Ashore. 🏖️ I guessed the metanism as soon as I saw the title. Fun, but I wish it had been disguised more.

Good Friday morning muggles

First a great welcome to our newest muggles - @scrabbler , @JimmyC1004 , @ZazooD and @DeuceMTN . It is always great to have more muggles

So far we have 178 on the ship. And don't forget the 4:30 pm ET zoom call. Even if you have the meta, it is great to talk to other muggles. If you aren't on the shore it is a great way to get there.

And our muggle meet up in Natick was phenomenal last night. A great group of people and a lot of fun.

For @MaineMarge and others, here is the ID from the face shot

From left to right Eric Savage @ELSavage , Mrs Squawk (Kristen), @Mister Squawk (Ed), @Susan Goldberg , @DBMiller , @Commodore (Stu), Mrs Commodore (Sally), your cruise director, @Cap'n Rick, Mrs Cap'tn Rick (Erin) (in the pink blouse), @TeamDoubleTow (Ali) @whimsy (Claudia) and Mr. Whimsy Phil

And Isaac's picture in the back which drew a lot of stares from other customers as they walked by the room

Fun looking crowd - even if it does seem like it is the cast picture for the newest "Knives Out" mystery!!!
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

Looks like fun! Sorry I couldn't join the Natick crowd.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Gleeful and relatively uncluttered road to the finish. My first idea was right, just not implemented the way I thought.

ASHORE!

Not PAGE one but dammit DAY one should count for something!

RIP Bob Newhart! That Kilchoman isn't going to drink itself so just helped myself to a generous pour and cued up the Button-Down Mind. Maybe if I have a second glass, I'll get some Moo Goo Gai Pan for dinner. If you know, you know.....
Bob was a favorite. Turns out my dad and Bob were born in the same hospital, about 11 years apart.

(edit for factual data, 11 not 8)
My dad had a collection of comedy albums. Newhart, Adams, Cosby, others. A lot of it was topical humor that doesn't hold up, but much of it does. I remember the woman on the bus was one of my favorites. So much of stand up is timing and delivery; Newhart had that in spades. Bye Bob! Fare thee well.
Some of the very first albums that I bought myself were "Button Down Mind" and then "Button Down Mind on TV" (my first was a "Stan Freberg and the Original Cast" - my parents knew they had a problem on their hands). I still think "Tobacco Comes to Civilization" is one of the funniest things I ever heard.

Bob Newhart has humor, delivery and he never needed anything rude or off color to be funny. There is a distinct void in the comedy world. Hats Off Bob (and Arthur)!

Better late than never! Ashore in a flash. Clever metanism. J will have a taro bubble tea, and H will have an iced brown sugar boba tea!

It may be a crowded Beach but I am thrilled to be here! This is the first meta I have solved without a nudge or two from the zoom call. So pour me a pina colada and please include the umbrella. I feel like celebrating.🍹

Or a game of Clue? My first guess, Commodore, on the Lido deck, with harpoon.
