I couldn’t get to the crossword until yesterday.
With the grid complete, I am struggling to find my way to the first step for the meta.

It took a nudge from @BarbaraK, but I made it to shore! I'll be at Last Call tonight, but I had done so much poking at this puzzle that I couldn't wait til then to find out where I was going wrong.

Solved! Yesterday, I had the right beginning, but didn't know where to go with it. Today, I found the right path without much trouble.

Ashore, thanks to a nudge from the Muggle Zoom team! Won't submit but still gave me room for some "aha" feelings and fun solving/learning, so I recommend it to anyone when a puzzle just isn't clicking. Really lovely to meet/see all those Muggle faces this evening!

Well…I have AN answer…..….. that I can justify. I will jump on a boat to get a quick look at the sunset from the shore and then return to my stool at Isaac’s bar.
As my parents would always say: “We’ll see”.
