Whew, I was afraid for a moment this would be one everyone saw but me. But, managed to resolve all my "What!" questions in my mind and step back and appreciate the construction. Still, a late start and initial confusion puts me pretty far away from the water on the beach.

. A lot of short crosswordese in the grid. Nice meta construction, but very easy to spot; this would be a good example for new meta solvers. (I'm not complaining, just saying. It's 7:15AM and I haven't finished my coffee.)

A bit of a struggle finishing the grid after figuring out the meta. Happy to return to the shore this weekend, as it's been .... whoa! Just felt that earthquake that struck NJ..... and now I'm back to finish this post. Make mine a double, that was crazy!

Good Friday morning
Matt has taken pity on us as there is an empty bar on the ship and 170 on the shore. another clever construction
Don't forget the 4:30 zoom call even if you have solved the meta, a good chance to talk about other things.
And my hope for this weekend's NCAA games is that we have a double event of UCONN vs NC State playing in both finals.
