On shore after a frustrating couple of weeks. Really felt that last week’s was solvable, just didn’t see it.

Now I can relax before a busy Saturday: men’s breakfast at church, Christkindlmarkt and a marionette show with the toddler grandkids, then Marie Osmond holiday concert tonight.

Clever - I did not recognize the graphic and did not realize (probably knew but didn't realize) that the group that sang "Take on Me" was called A-HA. Gosh those Scandinavian groups were in a rut A-Ha, ABBA, Aqua. Seems there is also one called Bladee; wonder if there is a Bladah cause if so, and they all teamed up with "A Band Called O" they have a Beatles song! That I think would make me happy ever after in the Mugglespace and golly I'd let the children lend a hand...

Oh, and when this one is all over I'll be interested to see if anyone else got stuck in my initially promising, but VERY frustrating, rabbit hole. (has nothing to do with the Beatles though, not near that interesting)
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Classic video! Definitely in the running for best music video of all time. I always wonder how many hand-drawn frames it involved. (And the hairstyles are classic in and of themselves.)

I had a Rosé too! SC is in 60’s …. Close enough! 😂
I was in Charleston Tuesday night and was glad for my short sleeves on the rooftop bar. Hope we get winter soon!

Ashore. Had the idea yesterday but couldn't find the execution. This morning, it jumped out at me.

Not a clue, which isn't unusual.

Packing for the annual migration and looking forward to the real beach next week, not just the metaphorical one.

I think this puzzle could have possibly pageanted many people, except for the fact that there are some comments in this thread about the answer that would tip people off that they’ve been pageanted.

It's time for the Saturday report.
The kind and patient solvers on the Friday Zoom call rescued TeamDoubleTow, Turbotron, LisaJoy, Joe Pickett, CindyN, Al Laubenstein, Russ Higgins, and me! This kind of puzzle is always my Achilles heel, and it didn't help that I saw SO MANY distractions.
Declaring themselves on the ship with Isaac are Barney, Hunkra, Tom Shea, and Dow Jones.
Making it to the warm, sunny Muggle beach, where Meg's cabana boy lives to serve (tropical drinks, that is), are Adajeo, ALS, Alvibu67, Ann, b4alltime, Barnhart6, Berto, CAe39, caf.caf, Darth, DavyGravy, DebF, dho, DPlass, Dr. Tom, Eagle1279, EmilyW, Ergcat, EscapeArtist, FKelly, Grover, Halsey Mac, Haydendog, Homer Buckle, HunterX, JaneGummy, JRDad, Kris Zacharias, Ksoav, Ladybird, Linsocalm, Lube On, M and M, Merry Potter, MiniMuggle, Nlobb, OldJudge, PBR, PQ63, Sleepy, STL-D, STMV, Susan Goldberg, Tom Gebhard, WSJosh, Zagman49, and ZooAnimalsonWheels.
BTW, I just got home from the Funeral Mass of a mentor of mine -- a lovely 94-year-old gentleman, smart and worldly-wise, former mayor of our town. He thought my smile was a huge asset and always advised me: "Just keep smiling. People will never know what you're up to."
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Forgot until now to post that I made on onshore with the help of the Friday Zoom group, who encouraged me to pursue more persistently the 1st step I had figured out until it worked. Needed their help for the second step as well.

I missed out on last week's puzzle because there was so much to do on my yearly 4-day trip to NYC.

Yesterday as I was driving to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, I was able to listen in to enough of yesterday's Zoom call to solve Step 1 (a special thanks to Joe R for his nudge!). Today, I found Step 2 to be quite challenging, but ALAS (and at last), I am on the beach -- figuratively and literally!

Happy World Cup to all.

Just looked it up. It used approximately 3,000 rotoscoped frames which took 16 weeks to complete. The video has over 1.4 billion views on YouTube!
