Two (late) St. Pat's jokes at the expense of the Irish, a group which all of my blood relatives belong:
Q: What's Irish and stays out all night?
A: Patty O'Furniture
Two Irish guys walk out of a bar. Well, it
could happen!
The Irish Proverb:
May the wind always be at your back,
But not emanating from you personally.
The first thing I did, after I finished laughing, was to wish my father were still around to hear this!

On shore. Patience and writing things out were needed to see beyond Step 1.

Been too long since I've had the buffalo in the house.
If you lived near MaineMarge, you could have a buffalo in your house real soon. This herd escaped from their pasture just 1 mile from me this week. No trace of them now.

Welp, made my first actual submission after giving the meta clues a night's sleep. Didn't come up with anything super solid but it's an answer, at least!

Bob- still safely on the ship with Isaac for now, scratching my head over 2 possible answers.

I’m going to be late for work. But, I was on to it and HAD to see it through.
On shore.

Hmmmmm... amazed at the first-pagers in the group. I've got something, but just not leading to a body part. Guess I'll hang with Isaac a little longer, drinking my <body part> off

Hey, Blair
@bhamren!
There's no Trace of Buffalo in Maine, either.

On shore. I saw the method immediately but was sidetracked by two mistakes made while filling in the grid. I just am just not up on contemporary personages! Congratulations to Wendy with a 4:12 submission!

I’ll just pull up a stool alongside you, if you don’t mind. My dinghy got stuck prior to passage.

UPDATE x2... my first meta guess was incorrect, as pointed out by a very helpful muggle. Got a tow back to the ship and put on my thinking (and drinking) cap. Am now on the correct shore. Mea culpa for taking a spot on page 2... if it's any consolation, these towing charges are getting expensive!

I'm good on the grid and step 1 feels like it jumped out quickly...but now I'm floating in a raft off the boat but still at sea hoping I figure out step 2 before I get eaten by sharks.
EDIT: Solved with a bit of a Nudge from Joe
