Ashore. I was just about to report in from Isaac's. But while perusing another section of the WSJ over lunch, I saw a headline that gave me an idea, and it wasn't a rabbit hole.

Is Friday at 1330 too early for an IPA?
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

Too early? Heck, you'll never catch up......
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges IF ASKED; metas should be about fun, not frustration. PM me what you have done so far, because often you are closer than you think, and I will try to help you move along.

Edited to add: An hour and 45 minutes later and it's already starting to melt. That would be fine, but it will freeze again tonight and there will be ice on the roads, steps, sidewalk, and driveway making walking hazardous for those of us not accustomed to these conditions. Driving is hazardous, too, of course, but thankfully, I don't have anywhere to go.

You have more snow on the ground there than we have had all year in eastern Mass. We got enough on Christmas to call it a "White Christmas" by the weather people's definition. But if it is cold weather you want, we have had it.

Good afternoon muggles

A little belated as I spent too much time working on the 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle my son gave me. I am in "slog" mode - too far along to quit but in that "just trying piece after piece until one fits".

So far we have 2 on the ship and 125 on the shore.

It should be a good crowd for the 4:30 PM zoom call. @hcbirker - glad to hear you are safe.

I have a mechanism and I have an answer, but dont have a nice link between them. Going to rest a bit before heading to shore. Better day here for sledding than swimming anyway.

Ashore since last night but am I on the correct shore? Like others have mentioned, I’m wrestling with some doubt.

On the ship, waiting for the Zoom. One answer seems too obvious, but nothing else has presented itself so far.

Put me back on the ship for official counting purposes. My apologies to #21 for taking your spot on page 1.
Bespoke nudges available upon request (if I'm on shore, off the couch, in the castle, petting an un-bagged cat, ...).
Let me know how small or large a hint you want, or hit me with a specific question(s).

I finished the grid today. The mechanism looked obvious, and I had some fun assembling the clues. I am stuck on what to do with the results. I'll ponder for the next couple of days.

So Isaac is mixing up his January specials. Spiced apple cider, hot chocolate, etc. I am awaiting another snowy weekend, where there are no plows and no salting the roads.

Of course, this is far preferable to the fires in Southern California. I used to live there, and what is happening is awful. I hope our fellow muggles have evacuated safely.

I'm ashore. Was on the "road" to the solution but then got stuck. Thanks to Heidi for the nudge and thanks to the rest of the zoom group, too. Have a wonderful weekend. Hope any Muggles in affected areas of the So. CA fires are safe.

Ashore. Took awhile to see the last step. Doh...

--- edit ---
Just realized submitted the wrong answer (forgot how convoluted Gaffney's puzzles are). Bck on the raft and row it out to sea to get lost again, doh.

Ashore! Hmmm. We went down a few rabbit holes before we found the right track, but we made it!
