On shore! Is it happy hour yet?!

Quickly on shore this week. Very satisfying.... Can't really tell if it was easy or that I just happened to see the mechanism. Let's see how crowded the beach gets....

Just now getting to the puzzle. I am ashoRE after being a bit of a deaDHEad last week. I'll just sit in the shADe of this palm tree and sip on a gin-gin mule.

Ashore! Saw step one pretty easily but it took me a minute to think of what to do with it

On shore. Every Thursday, I check this forum to see how many people submit an answer within the first few hours. When quite a few did, I was encouraged that I might figure out the meta , after total failure last week, when far fewer had an answer on Thursday.

Ashore... with some googling required!

Oh, I believe the beach will once again be littered with umbrellas (mainly the little ones from the drinks). I feel I am safely ashore, pretty evident what Matt was going for in the Mx, but it was fun all the same.

@Streroto My sister and brother in law are at the bottom of Little Cottonwood Canyon. They said that they have gotten over 600 inches of snow this winter already. Normal is about 500. Have fun and stay safe. Run for run, Snowbird is about the hardest mountain I have ever skied.

Bob, did you ever ski Alta? I always thought that it was harder than Snowbird just because they did not groom their trails and of course High Rustler and Baldy Chutes raise a lump in the throat of even the best (I struggled down both, and the emphasis on struggled). At the bottom of High Rustler (Wildcat base) I took off my skis and made an oath to myself that I would never let testosterone and pride make me do anything that stupid again! I still skied but never High Rustler again.

Ashore, after a tougher than I thought it would be swim. The undertow was strong.

Not submitting until I can confirm one of the 12 letters I've been struggling with.

EDIT: Finally able to confirm that one pesky letter. Solved and submitted. Cabernet with an IPA chaser please.

@DrTom I did a few times when I was out skiing with my sister and brother in law. I was dragged down all the steep and deep at both areas. Comparing ski areas is tough because there are a lot of variables including conditions. A couple of my criteria are how hard and how many are the toughest trails and if you are not an expert skier can you enjoy the resort. My biased conclusion is that at Snowbird if you are not an excellent skier there are not many trails you can go down however the lower areas at Alta are more manageable. Don't get me wrong, both areas are beyond spectacular.

My cousin used to be a ski instructor at Jackson Hole. He used free heel/telemark skis and had thighs of iron. We went to Jackson a couple of times. If there is a run to avoid it is Corbet's Couloir. It is not long but there is no forgiveness to it. It is narrow. It is steep. It is moguled and there are rock walls on both sides. And there is a 10 foot drop to get in. So how hard can it be. To get a better feel, watch this.

On shore. Found the first step, but it took a good night's sleep to figure out what to do with it, even though in retrospect it was right there in front of us all along!
