I have what seems clearly to be the answer to the meta, but am staying on ship for now. I'm hoping to find some resolution with some additional features of the grid, and Isaac has been offering specials to cheer those of us who are still hanging around!

Submitted what appears to be the obvious answer. Nice to see you all here on the shore.
Up later tonight than last night, when I was watching (Inquirer headline) the "Pick of the Pack"

Fairly squeezy grid and clever meta. Done and done on Friday evening. Good luck Muggles!

Count me as gardening out back today Bob, where I do my best thinking. Looks like I may have some visitors strolling by mulling over the correct meta answer, as I am. Looks straightforward to me, but it’s always prudent not to jump ship til Isaac’s last call on Sunday.

Count me on shore, but chatting with all the others at the tiki bar who aren’t 100% sure they have the right answer.

Bob, may we borrow your truck & re-wrap it with the Cuervo label?
No problem. Where do you want the driver to bring it?
Thank you, Bob!
Ummm… There's a lot of sand & a palm tree, or three... My golfing GPS & map apps are having trouble with coordinates. Does anyone have the longitude & latitude - or even a zip code - for
The Island of Misfit Toys?
I have submitted my answer am either with the crowd on the correct shore or hanging out with Joe Ross and Charley-in-the-box.

I’ve been lurking around this forum for a while, only managing to solve a few metas in the past 2 months or so. I think I have this one but have some reservations for the same reason mentioned by a few others. PS - I greatly admire those of you who solve week after week!

This is one of the few places where lurkers are welcome. Posters are even more welcome so we are pleased that you have joined us as a muggle. We all start out slow and make mistakes - many, many mistakes. Two of the great aspects of this forum are the post mortums on Monday and the hints for solving metas in Come Aboard. The best post mortums are the ones where you wind up on the wrong island or the back of a whale as you find out that you are not alone in the wrong answer. But we all learn from both ours and others wrong answers.
Good luck this week and in the future and do not be afraid to ask any or all questions.
Again, welcome to the land of the muggles.

Good Saturday morning muggles. We have a crowded beach to the extent that we may have even spilled over on a second beach. Time will tell if the second beach is on a deserted island or links to the right beach.
First we have seven new muggles: spotter, ErikThor, blau10, Glinda, HiJack and ccmac on the shore and Eschie (Evy) who posted in the Welcome Aboard page and is working on making her way to shore.
So far we have 5 on the ship with Isaac pondering their answers before jumping into the abyss and 104 on the shore.
Keeping Isaac company at least for now are

Oh dear - I am with the small group with Isaac! I see step one but don’t know where to go from there. Comments indicate I am missing the obvious. I’ll look again later, otherwise I may be slapping my forehead Monday morning.

Welcome - I just joined last week after lurking for a while and dabbling in the contest puzzles on and off for the last couple of years.

Brand new here but I have been reading your forum for about two weeks. I believe I got this one and can say that I am safely ashore.
Hurrah! Another newbie! Welcome!

Could stand it no longer. I looked for rock-solid confirmation of what I feel HAS to be the answer but cannot find it. Now I admit it is a leap of faith (and that leap one holiday season landed me in a pageant) but now I am blinded to anything else by what I came up with during my initial AHA. So, submit I will, and cower I shall, as I wait for what I hope is my 'right' answer to be THE right answer. Headed for shore right now in a somewhat less than watertight conveyance.
