I was stuck for the longest time, but figured it out while brushing my teeth this morning. A wonderful start to the day!

@Bob cruise director and I JUST THIS MINUTE got the answer together on a Zoom call, with the help of a nudge that a muggle kindly gave to @MaineMarge. Thank you to all! Now, on to MGWCC!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

First post!

I enjoyed the good company of my friends outdoors today. Had a super corned beef wrap for lunch and will have a bottle of hubby’s homemade wine with dinner tonight. My Fitbit says I have hit my 5,000 steps. The Doberman next door licks my face when he sees me.
Still staring at the finished grid. Maybe I’ll get the meta, maybe not. It’s all OK.

Ashore!
Tough swim this week. Filling in the grid with a typo (in a crucial spot!) didn't help. And it still took a good few minutes after I realized my mistake.

I got step 1, but I don't know how high this staircase goes! Anyone want to compare notes?

Hmmm.... But if we're stuck with Isaac, are we still considered respectable?Wendy Walker wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 10:28 amWow, we have a respectable southeastern PA contingent on the ship this week: you, @cbarbee002 , and myself!
Guess it depends on how we hold our drinks...

Mind if a Northcentral Pennsylvanian takes that empty stool alongside you?HunterX wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 3:22 pmHmmm.... First, welcome to the group. Great to have more muggles
As for nudges, two things. On the Come Aboard/FAQ's - community/solving resources, there is a topic on nudges.
The Cliff Notes
1) find someone or two who are on the shore. Send him/her a PM telling what you have done and where you are stuck. They will usually respond with some guidance
2) Our normal mode is that if the nudge is more than a gentle hint, it is fine to claim you are on the shore but generally the person receiving the more than gentle nudge will not submit the answer to the WSJ

And if your bar banter triggers my "Aha!" moment, I'll pay.

I'm hoping your proven respectability rubs off on ME! And while I appreciate the optimism, I wouldn't look for enlightenment from my end of the bar.HunterX wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 4:25 pmYou're welcome to join us! My husband knows better than to submit his own answer. First off, he just pops in with the occasional suggestion--he NEVER does the work of filling in the grid. And more importantly, he knows that if he submitted on the rare occasion when he offers a helping hand--and won the mug (when I have never won the mug)--that he would be sleeping on the couch for a good while.

and don’t it feel good! Anyone remember that line from the 80s song, Walking on Sunshine?
my candidates for the theme song for the aha moment:
1. What a Feeling (from Flashdance)
2. Chariots of Fire theme song
3. Walking on Sunshine
4. That’s the Way I Like it
5. Rocky theme
6. Round the way girl (hey wait....?)
any others?

Who may I ask if I am on the right track? I have sent 3 different messages but they are hanging out in my Outbox. I am not sure if they are going anywhere.
Thanks, Carter

I knew this was the wrong crowd to play fast and loose with who/whom. Unfortunately that occurred to me after I hit SUBMIT.
Will PM you.
