Ashore, and the puzzle made me smile. Very nice. Unless I've blown it, of course.

Eh, claiming we're on shore too, with the same unfulfilling (but has to be) answer. (But then again, I claimed being on shore two weeks ago with "Soft" and look where that got us...)

Had a nice little Washington Syrah tonight.

Hoping y'all have a safe weekend.

Wow, joining the crowd sitting at the bar not sure that the answer I have could possibly be right. It makes sense but I’m not seeing confirmation. I’m gonna contemplate over a Manhattan (neat, Angel’s Envy) before submitting.

I’m on shore. Unless, of course, I’ve submitted bowl games when the answer is really pageant. But I don’t really think that’s likely; the click is solid enough.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

Was working the grid with my family, and my mom blurted out the answer before the grid was even finished. I'm very proud of her! Like some others, I feel like I'm missing some click, but it just has to be right...

So count me (us) on shore. Have already helped myself to a Diet Coke.

Marion, Jill, Mitch and I are joining others in the sand. Like many of the comments, I have reasonable confidence in the answer, but it does leave a lingering question. Has to be correct, however.

Jane and I sometimes look at the instructions and make guesses as to possible answers before we try to reverse-engineer the puzzle to produce one of those guesses. We both had the same guess, and we both see some strong evidence for that guess. But neither of us can produce a mechanism yet.

Does this mean we're on the same imaginary beach as many other muggles? I dunno. I consider myself to be Heisenberg's Muggle, both ashore and afloat at the same time.

I'll count myself ashore. While I agree there aren't so many steps with this one as there is one big leap, it jumped out at me so clearly and matched all the clues I could see, so I'm going with it.
As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all — the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them.

Will claim ashore. Agree that it has that pageant feel to it.

Ashore unless I'm an idiot. Of course, I am an idiot sometimes, so. . . Confused by the uncertainty in this thread. For me it was both an AHA and a HAHA. Hoping the jokes not on me!
