Just solved it. At first I thought the method would be too confusing to actually work. But honest to goodness it did! Can’t believe it.

Saw this one right away, very unusual lately. Great puzzle!

I made it ashore with a lot of help from life rafts and signal flares.

6 hours, 52 minutes, and 42 seconds later (solo!), I am on shore, still reeling from this wild journey.

I wasn't sure if I could sleep if I didn't get it. Now having arrived on this brilliant shore, I'm still not sure I'll sleep anyway.
