Ashore, thank you very much!

Having intoned more than a few Gregorian chants, 36A was new to me, too, unless I'd forgotten it by the times we'd finished our larynx-restoring Guinness draughts.

I'll need another few synapse-restoring draughts to help me forget how I'd flailed around the Sea Venture/Pacific Princess far too long before the lighthouse showed me her way to shore.

Thanks, again, to Brian, Bob, and all of you muggles who have made 2019 a banner year in this man's life with your wit, warmth, and welcome.

Here's to 2020 and beyond... Sláinte!

Pipe me aboard, Sir Robert. Have Isaac send 46A down to my quarters. Bit under the weather.

I was going nowhere, and then suddenly I was going somewhere. Feet are dry on the shore, a welcome relief after last week's debacle. Happy New Year to all!

Good morning fellow muggles. I had something written and then poof it vanished. It may show up in some other universe so if you see it, you will know why. Most likely I hit a key that the system did not like

A couple of muggles have posted their results. If you want what I have let me know by PM and I can send you the entire spreadsheet or whatever you want. Two caveats are that I may have missed anyone who posted late Sunday night and that I can not tell if you are on the right shore or in the mouth of a whale or on a deserted island.

Also thanks to Brian Mac for adding the Santa touch to Isaac's picture at the top.

We have 8 of us keeping Isaac company and 72 on the shore

With me in the bar are
Inca
rexthree
Janet
Scott M

Homer Buckle

and on the shore are
Les

Perhaps she encountered it "en dive"

Since it will soon be New Year's Eve I thought we might place the MUGBOAT in a more festive port?

Happy New Year to all my fellow Muggles and especially to those who take so much of their personal time making this forum as much fun as it is, and believe me when I say this place is often the only happy spot I can find of late. :D

Still nothing here... had a nice streak going but the last few weeks have been pretty rough for me meta wise.
If you like Rows Gardens check out my mini ones here: viewforum.php?f=41. Nudges are free on the off chance I’ve solved the meta.

The gym yesterday afternoon. On the elliptical machine next to me, a tall sixtyish man.. He is pedaling very slowly because he has the WSJ folded open to the puzzle and is writing in answers with a pen. “Any ideas?” I ask. He pretends not to have heard. As he is getting off the machine a few minutes later, I ask again
Me: Any ideas?
Him: Huh?
Me: I finished the grid, but I can’t get the answer.
Him: Oh, I never do that part.
Me: But that's the fun part.

I should have added: except when you can't figure it out.
