Solved. Had to have the “confirming bit” explained to me.

I’m on shore, I believe. I don’t see a confirmer besides the metanism itself.

Edit: Actually I think I see the double meaning.
Edit 2: Scratch the double meaning, I made a mistake. Still fairly sure I have the right answer, and even if I don’t it’s already submitted.

Finally!! On the beach, this is a 100%-er. Quite satisfying when the light bulb goes on.

I am with Isaac. Step one completed. I have a show in mind, but can’t make the connection. Going to have to sleep on it. It’s been a rough week and I am mentally tired. Maybe tomorrow will bring inspiration.

Ashore! I figured out a show that seemed like a good candidate, but I didn't see a clear reason for it. Then I forgot about it while I scarfed down a cheeseburger and a red ale, then when I thought about it again, I immediately saw the connection.

Semi- This show aired just before a certain other show for a while...

Edit: actually soaking at Hot Lake Springs in eastern Oregon, not at the beach.

Ashore - 100% when you get it. Puzzled by those who have never seen the show or at least a rerun; but I always think everyone is my age.

I’m saying there is some room for discussion here…but I’m submitting an answer, and calling it a beach day. Woot!

I have an answer... like 90% sure it has to be what I think it is. Too many coincidences for it not to be correct. So if my answer isn't correct, I will appeal the ruling on whatever the actual answer is.
