Another great zoom session today. Thanks to everyone who participated. I really enjoy meeting the group in person and it is a great learning experience for all. Thanks to @Wendy Walker for her guidance and thoughtful monitoring. Also, thanks to @DBMiller for demonstrating the masse pool shot!

Finally on shore after WAY overcomplicating it. Solving the week 4 MGWCC helped me to focus. I'll have a scotch on the rocks to celebrate. Bye Isaac!

On shore for only the second time since spring break at Easter time! I'll take a Mad Tree!
If I don't win a mug, I can always make one... ;) but it won't have the same cachet.

I'm a little annoyed at myself because I could've made it to the zoom if I'd remembered about it. My afternoon meetings ended early. It would've been nice if Isaac had said something about it.

Still drifting on the boat. I have an idea how I want the mechanism to work based on some clues and observations but not there yet. Probably a warren.

Now that I have a word, I'm calling myself on shore. I had the right general idea all along, but couldn't find the confirmation that I was looking for. Several other people had similar comments here.

This one won't end up in my list of favorites.

Ashore after staring at the grid for too many hours. Very clever indeed!

Finally ashore, got 90% of the way there and struggled to finish… my better half takes a look and 30s later, done!

“Eureka!” he said joyfully,
His fingers clutching sand.
For many long leagues swim did he,
Before he reached the land.
And there were vicious rabbits, too!
One was a Great White Hare!
(And eared piranhas swimming through
The waves ‘twixt here and there!!)
At long last, reason won the day
When inspiration struck.
Brains? Not really. Candidly…
It was just pure dumb luck.

We are on the beach, after a weeks hiatus. (The difference between Gaffney and Shenk; literally bar vs beach...)

Knew where the answer needed to go last night, but couldn't quite make any sense. Looked at it briefly again over lunch and there it was.

Hope everyone enjoys a wonderfully long and relaxing weekend. We had super hot weather earlier in the week which made me interested in using our homegrown mint to make a Southside fizz (gin, mint, club soda -- prohibition origins where the gin was really rot gut and the mint helped cover the flavor.) -- but now it's cold again and need to rethink. Maybe another week of honoring Cherrys with Cherry Heering.

Stay safe all.

Ashore, but we hope we’re missing something clever that ties it all together.

So frustrating. I've completed the grid and spotted some hefty looking hints but still nothing. Any nudges or just confirmation I haven't gone so far down the rabbit hole, I'm in Wonderland would be much appreciated.

Ashore with a certain answer, but like others, I seemed to have jumped right to step two and the solution without seeing step one....
