WSJ Saturday Crossword, May 21, 2022, Hang In There
https://www.wsj.com/articles/hang-in-th ... 1652906155

I've finished the grid, but I do not get the “literally” parts of the theme clues. Can someone explain?

“Hang” plus the part that goes down. Hang dog for abject, hang ten for surfing stunt, etc.
If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.

(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)
