Don't be put off by the instructions, these are actually very doable... it just takes several days to do them.

He has done an annual Oscar puzzle for 17 years now.
The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Thanks for posting this. It was a fun and challenging puzzle. I assume this was an NPL puzzle. If you liked this one there is a free online compilation of 50 NPL variety cryptics, all with solution explanations.

Solved as well. Pleased as punch with myself, if I must say.

Agree with Jay re: similarity to the NPL puzzles, to which Kevin W contributed.
