Also the opening on Friday night April 1 will include remarks from WORDLE creator Josh Wardle. See the schedule of events here:Annual MEmoRiaL award for lifetime achievement in crossword construction — presentation by Marie Haley to Emily Cox and Henry Rathvon, with slide show and live tributes

If you just want to see the festivities but not participate in the online tournament, the events apparently will be livestreamed and viewable without registering, according to ACPT Facebook page.
But if you want to participate virtually by solving the puzzles online on your own schedule over the weekend (subject to regular time limits) and getting scored and ranked against other virtual solvers, then you can register at acptonline.com and get the details. It's a little pricy, but a great opportunity for those of us in other time zones who think we'll probably never make to Stamford CT to participate live. I'm doing it this year for the second time. (Last year's tournament was fully virtual and great fun. Patrick Berry received the MERL award then).
In any case, yay for HEX on their well-deserved award!!
