Count me ashore, Bob! Took three sittings. I enjoyed the challenge. And echoing all the other Patrick Berry love.

Ashore. I am usually not on Patrick Berry's wavelength, so this one required two sessions before I cracked it.

On shore with many smiles and gratitude to PB for dropping another gem on us.
Some real fall gems here, with Mother Nature putting on her autumn foliage show. I’m left speechless with astonishment at sights like this every day now.
Amsonia just starting to change to its brilliant fall yellow, red tree peony, and 3 peonies all in a row. Nearly half of our peonies turn such beautiful fall colors.

I'm on the sand. Clever and satisfying.
I'm going out of town this weekend, so I printed the puzzle Thursday, filled the gird, and stared at it for about 20 minutes with no progress on the meta. Then last night I half-woke from a dream where I was solving the meta, and my addled mind grabbed onto a certain mechanism and then pieced together what the answer must be. Now at 3:45AM I couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up to check the grid and make sure it worked.
It was nowhere close, and I would applaud any constructer who could make the half-baked idea into a legit puzzle. But now that the puzzle was in front of me again, I couldn't stop working on it and finally made it to shore. I'll take a melatonin Mai Tai, cabana boy!

Need a nudge when someone is up to it. I'm never going to get this one either.

Scooch over a bit. I don't think Isaac can see me.

Solved yesterday evening. I pursued a couple rabbit holes, then went for a run and the mechanism popped into my head. Gotta love exercise!

Ashore. Very clever indeed. Solved the grid quickly but had to sleep on the meta, path came to me in bed this morning. Toes in sand literally in Santa Monica this weekend helping my son move into his new apartment, new job, new city. Fun.
Hoping to go to see the Braves beat up on the Dodgers but didn't realize despite the worse record that the Braves hold home field advantage against the wildcard team.
