I was hoping to get a game of shuffleboard going but jumping overboard and floating in an inner tube sounds way more fun! Heading to the gangplank now. Gonna hold my nose. Seems like a long way down. Look out below!!
Lol!
Paddling to shore now with a friendly nudge!

Close to a record on the ship????? 8-)
[/quote]

The record for most on the ship is 73 on May 8, 2020. The title was "Build Your Brand" by Matt Gaffney. The answer was ADOBE

You can try your hand at it by going to Come Aboard/FAQ Community/Past WSJ Crossword Contests and Solutions

I'm totally lost at sea. I thought I had step one, but it eventually led to nothing significant.

I'm submitting a hunch based on that wayward path, but it's a total Hail Mary.

See you all after midnight. I think I'll ask Isaac for a rye 'cause I'm feeling a bit wry.

On shore with the help of a friendly nudge. I had noticed things, but needed a push to get me to use the hint properly!

No longer in the water, but got to shore with help. Another week; another lesson.

Ashore with a perfect nudge and with the jump made by one of my puzzle pod. Even though I don’t credit myself with the answer and won’t submit- getting there was super satisfying after the Aha! Good puzzle. META GOALS.

It's clear to me that I am not in possession of "good crossword solver's thinking", certainly this week. Hanging with Isaac, happily, and not figuring on a beach side arrival this week.

Enjoy the weekend, Muggles.
I have never seen so many shots land in places that I am familiar with. And I have never seen so many impossible recovery shots either.

John Rahm made a bunch of unbelievable putts.

Singles tomorrow should be outstanding
This Rider Cup, is that thoroughbreds?
For nudges, feel free to PM me. I won't have a clue how to help you, but you might shove me ashore.

I'm pretty confident in the grid, but I have absolutely nothing for the meta. I had one idea and it got me nowhere. Anybody handing (elbowing?) out nudges?

Skipping dinner, gorging on the beer nuts with Isaac. I played a few rounds of golf this weekend and watched the Ryder Cup when I wasn't on the course. I may be kicked out of both the Muggles Forum and my marriage after this weekend.

I solved the grid on Friday afternoon and mowed the grass late Saturday afternoon. Other than that, no progress to report. Not winning the mug may be the least of my problems.....

On shore with a little help. This one was not at all obvious to me.

The center of the grid made me think of Spider-Man. I know it's not spelled correctly.

Ashore after a slight nudge. I just needed to take that rabbit hole to the end. I had given up on it too soon.
But when you are chasing many rabbits how do you know which one is the one to stick with🤷‍♀️

Our final count is 58 on the ship and 111 on the shore

Good luck winning the mug. Definitely better odds than the last two weeks.
