Tricky grid (done) and tough-to-find meta, apparently- based on the numbers. I am flummoxed.

Still working on the meta, but can anyone message me and explain 24A? I've solved the grid, but I don't understand that one. Thanks!
ETA: Thanks everyone for the quick replies! So obvious once you know the answer.

The names in the 24A clue are palindromes and so is the answer. Only 27 on the board so far and it's almost a full day later. Not yet desperate to find the meta, but I'm afraid I might be getting there.

Very cool! I was frustrated, and I needed a slight nudge, but I experienced a very fun solve from there.
Thanks, Matt!

Unlike COMEDY CENTRAL, this might have the fewest posts in the first 24 hours, haha. Something is up, but I can't quite figure out what yet!

Does anyone else who is yet to solve want to work together on this one? Send me a PM
E: Think I have it now, waiting for confirmation...
E2: Beam me up, what a great puzzle!!!

Solved -- finally. Explored a few rabbit holes, but after a couple muggle nudges, I was able to see where I had gone wrong.

I mean, the fact that the professional meta solvers needed 25 minutes to solve this tells me I have no chance at all, but why do I still keep staring at it, thinking “it can’t be THAT hard…”?
If you see that I’ve completed the MGWCC meta, feel free to DM me and I’ll help you out - nudges, confirmations of paths, etc.

I am totally LAS on this one. Have tried some promising rabbit holes and come up hareless.
Stay well all

I’ll take a nudge if anyone is offering. Not going to solve this one on my own.

I have a possible step 1, but am not even close to circling the answer on this one.

LOL, is there a pro meta league? There is in computer games; why not metas?

Got it with a little nudge. I'm not sure I would have made it there alone. Great puzzle.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.
