DINO ME! Although I must admit that I jumped the gun and submitted after step 1. I am glad that Crosshare allowed multiple guesses.

Dino me too. Ouch, also am glad I was allowed multiple guesses. The answer was a lock, facepalm.

I too enjoyed this bonus puzzle after failing to see the mechanism and making a couple of near-miss guesses.

I'm very glad to hear that folks are enjoying submitting on Crosshare, especially now that you're allowed multiple submissions (this was a new change suggested by Will and implemented about a week and a half ago). As always, if you think of any other ways Crosshare can be improved please just get in touch!

Dino me! (Though I was torn between the answer I submitted and another option that seemed to fit the bill but I wouldn't call "popular")
I can be found in Sheridan, NY, veejaying. (8)

Not bad...it's almost as if the University of Calgary awarded me a bachelor's degree on Sunday and my Master's on Tuesday...
