Good morning! Ashore!

After endlessly refreshing the page from 4:00-4:20pm EST yesterday, I decided to walk away from the computer. Returned this morning to solve the puzzle and meta. First time I've a retrofit solve-- where I guessed the answer and then was able to confirm it.

My city is still underwater in parts. We are ok in our end of town, but the cleanup is going to take a while.

Happy Saturday, Muggles.

Edit: first time I've HAD a retrofit solve, and today is Friday. I blame Ida for my muddled Muggleness.

Day two solve (first day was spent in meetings and drinking; possibly too many of both)… a bit too early for a Guinness?

On shore. Took me a while and my first answer didn't go with title. Kept looking and it fell into place. I've set my watch for 3 ET on Fridays. This is fun!

Got it.

Someone used the wrong something-or-other as there was no submit button, and it told me I completed it correctly. Friday puzzles don't do that...

Couldn't make time for the puzzle yesterday - too many tasks to complete for the education foundation board. Looks like I would have just been frustrated anyway. Agree with others that the grid is harder than the meta. Happy to be ON SHORE this morning!

Ashore!

I don't often say this, but that was a fun meta!

We're visiting family this week, so I didn't start the grid until late last night, and worked out the meta this morning.
