The title of this week's meta is "Interstate Travel" by Mike Shenk

The answer to this week's contest is a 12-letter word.

Good luck with the grid and the meta.

Because of the delay and confusion, there is a blanket exemption for any POE this week.

Solved also, but waiting for them to actually post the puzzle before I send my answer in - in case, for some reason, well, I don't know, something happens.

That was a bunch of fun, but the water is a bit warm. I’m on the beach. Somebody's over at the bar trying to explain it to the Cabana Boy.

Okay, so I’m going out on a limb, but I think I’m ashore! I’ll verify later.

Yes! Definitely on the beach! But … like others above, I’m not submitting my answer until the puzzle appears on the “official” WSJ web site … 🤨.

So I have now thrown caution to the winds, submitted my answer, and am cavorting merrily on the beach in a manner completely foreign to the normally sober demeanor one would expect from one of my advanced years … 🤪.

I have a strong feeling I would be ashore if I could only get hold of the puzzle.

It's up, but where's the submission link? (I know the email address, but the configuration is still wrong on the site.)

Water is a bit warm? As in "Welcome to our OOL"? Related: "Welcome to our L."

(Now that we're safely onto the page two, I can click Submit.)
