Easy swim to shore today, and I'm thankful. It's nice to build up my confidence again after being totally lost last week!

This isn't a spoiler, but I just wanted to mention, in case our authors are lurking, that I really enjoyed the clue/answer combos with question marks (18A, 23A, etc.). I just thought they were really funny and clever, to the point that once I figured the first one or two out I chuckled while completing the others.

Well I don't know if "we're gonna need a bigger boat" but it looks like we're gonna need a bigger shore! This was a "happy puzzle" because you could see what was going on almost immediately. It will be nice to be able to solve on puzzle this week-end cause I KNOW that a week 4 Gaffney is not going to be my forte. I guess I am a disciple of the forgotten Greek philosopher:

I just noticed your signature. I loved The Book of Eels! It was fascinating!! I shared my copy with a few people. It ended up in TX and is now slithering it’s way from reader to reader.

Safely ashore, along with thousands of others whom I’m sure are delighted at having such an easy puzzle after a few really tough weeks.

I was one of the ones that solved early on the "Sneak Preview". (BTW anyone else remember and miss Siskel & Ebert?  )

I didn't think I had heard of the movie, so I googled. When I read the IMDb summary, I said to myself "oh THAT! movie". It's a good movie and I'll add it to my queue to rewatch... Now that I've remembered the title ;)

Happy to be onshore after two weeks of missing the meta and having to solve on a train. Glad that I didn’t require the pen and paper that I brought along. I enjoyed the puzzle theme answers - still dense because it took me a while to figure out the gimmick. A movie I’ve never seen, and it sounds like a good one.

Now I will try to get the MGWCC from my phone since the Amtrak wifi isn’t working for me.
