On shore. Easier grid than usual, and a clear mechanism for the meta.

Not too hard. I liked it. Guess what's next? Gin and Tonic.

Whew! Much calmer waters this week than last. On shore easily today. Maybe a frozen pina colada to celebrate?

Musta been a record for easiness, as we *both* made it onto the beach - essentially simultaneously! Well, we we actually *worked* it on the beach. 😀

On shore. Liked the easter egg in the title (if it was intended). Never heard (of) the song, though it's nice to see music younger than me as a response.

On the beach! G & T later tonight!!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Ashore.

Was super excited for the answer to be a song of the 2000s :)

I understand the cabana boy's former employer, McD's, was hoping to hire him back, but has so far been unsuccessful. (See below.) And they might up their signing bonus offer. So you'd better tip well!

I got lucky and found the rabbit in the first hole I looked at. I suspect that those not so fortunate will find plenty of red herrings out there.

Looking through a list of #1 songs of the 2000's, I do not know any of them.

Good idea - took a second look and on shore now.

Ashore after a necessary snooze on deck. (And I mean that pretty literally: I did the puzzle after a nine-mile hike and was too tired to stay awake and think about the meta; after a nap, the answer came pretty quickly.)

For the last several weeks, I've either been backpacking (far from any boat or shore, and without the puzzle) or so lost that I was having a hard time finding Isaac. But now firmly onshore, enjoying the beach and looking forward to a cold Ranch Water.
