Excel was indeed the move. I made the font in the painted region yellow. And thank you for posting; somehow AVXwords emails are not reaching me, although I have an active subscription (so I was able to log in and download the pdf).

I had to draw my own grid (I know, I'm a Neanderthal). But it worked. Fun and inventive!
