No countryside needed to see bears in Asheville. Those are likely city limit bears.

We are safely on shore! Went chasing rabbits for awhile but finally had that sweet Aha moment. Son’s last day of school today, good way to start the summer. Frozen margarita and sweet iced tea please!

With friends like these . . .Wendy Walker wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 12:19 pmBy using the "broken record" technique: Just keep repeating "4 p.m. Thursday is Puzzle Time." They'll catch on eventually. The only exception I make is when my dear 90-year-old neighbor/"adopted father" wanders over for a chat.Hidden in 3D wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 11:44 am On shore! Wasn't able to even look at the puzzle until this morning. Somehow I have to train my family members and friends that I am unavailable (until further notice) starting at 4:00 pm on Thursday. How did you do it, Wendy?!!
Once, however, a seriously lovelorn friend called me exactly 5 minutes before Puzzle Time and said he really needed to talk. I sighed and resigned myself to missing page 1 that week. He thanked me and said he knew he would feel so much better if he could only vent for ... oh ... 15 minutes or so. I quickly figured out what was going on, screamed at him, hung up the phone and raced for the computer. I don't remember if I made page 1, but we laugh about it to this day!

We made it to shore. Loved it. I definitely appreciated a Meta that was well within our monolingual skill set this week!

Ashore! I can't imagine designing these crosswords. It seems to me that they are more complex than developing the Theory of Relativity.

I’m ashore! While having a late night chat with my son after his first day of work at his first summer job, I glanced at the crossword and saw the missing link. Count me as one impressed with the construction! How do they do it?
