A TOUR DE FORCE of the meta puzzle craft.
I think you meant to say a CHEF D'OEUVRE!
More like PIECE DE RESISTANCE. ;)

I’m with all of you on the CHEF D’OEUVRE … AND on the PIECE DE RESISTANCE “wrong” answers… but also add COUP DE MORTE (not GRACE).

On shore! After another very long work day, did the grid at midnight last night (fell asleep on the last few), and saw the meta pretty quickly this morning. Once I saw it, I figured out why the grid had felt just a bit odd while doing it.

More work today, but tonight? May just tuck into a big icy margarita.
The other Wendy.

On Shore.

I'm glad that I paused to ponder. Made an adjustment on the last step, which resulted in a much more satisfying answer.

I'm making an iced mocha right now, which will be perfect on yet another blistering day here.

Night night.
ASHORE! I woke up knowing exactly what to do.

I think I'm ashore - I don't love my answer but it's certainly justifiable

Ashore! Super enjoyable except I was solving it on my phone in the car on a road trip :D

Taking a brief break between meeting this morning, and my brain has made the connection! Cute puzzle, will relax on the beach after work.

Ashore! Was in a mental ‘cul de sac’ last night, but with the new day came clarity.

Good health and happy solving,

How do you change your rating of a puzzle? My fat finger hit the wrong spot and before I knew it had rated this puzzle wrongly.

Ashore (happily after last week's total bomb). Finished the grid yesterday (with some sticking points) and saw two paths to the meta today, chose one and am 99% sure I am there (have to agree with some others that it doesn't feel totally "aha"). I ALWAYS solve the puzzle without paper (except for this one  ) So, I can't host a double round -- maybe next time!

I have an answer that makes sense but it does not click. I am having coffee with Isaac searching for loose ends to tie up.

EDIT: Checked with a solver. I don't have it.
